Advertorial Guidelines
“First Person”
Iron & Steel Technology now offers advertisers a way to advertise through short, written pieces in a section called “First Person.” Advertorials, or advertisements that appear as editorial material, are intended to
promote your company’s products and/or services and explain the benefit offered to the iron and steel industry. Advertorial material is published in conjunction with paid advertisements from a single company per issue.
I&ST offers three advertorial options:
Option 1: Full page total space with half-page horizontal ad.
Option 2: Full page total space with half-page vertical ad.
Option 3: Two pages total space with one full-page ad..
Only one advertiser per issue. First come, first served.

A half page of text is approximately 600 words.
Advertorial text must be submitted via e-mail (as a Word or other text file) by the published deadline to Joann Cantrell, editor, at jcantrell@aist.org.
I&ST reserves the right to edit the submitted material as deemed necessary for publication. I&ST also reserves the right to reject articles that are poorly written, contain inappropriate content or do not meet other requirements. No advertorial piece is acceptable if it is misleading or deceitful, fraudulent or unlawful, or reflects unfavorably on an individual, race, religion, occupation or institution. It cannot malign the products and/or services of another company inside or outside the iron and steel industry.
Be sure to include your contact information with your submission. The writer should be identified by name and title.
Advertorials will be clearly identified as advertising material.
Advertisers who wish to include their logo and/or their own photos in an advertorial must provide the image(s) in high-resolution format.
Note that trademarks TM, register marks ®, etc. will be utilized only in their first instance in an advertorial. I&ST will not incorporate graphic elements such as banners, starbursts, etc. in the advertorial. I&ST will not underline words or product names, use all caps or callouts.
