Past AIST Committee Activities
Current Activities
The Lubrication and Hydraulics Operating Committee (LHOC) met during AISTech 2008 in Pittsburgh, Pa., on May 7. They began by reviewing the activities and timeline needed to complete the latest modifications and improvements to their Lubrication Engineers Manual. The committee is planning to hold the Lubrication Manual Specialty Training Conference on March 17–19, 2009, in Birmingham, Ala., and the plans for this were reviewed. The status of the integration of the AISI committees was then discussed. Since there was not a corresponding committee in AISI, the main impact on this committee was the name change to the Lubrication and Hydraulics Technology Committee (LHTC). They discussed their sessions at AISTech 2008 and discussed the likelihood of continued joint programming with the Maintenance and Reliability Technology Committee. The newly elected officers for the committee are David Northrop as chair, John Haspert as vice chair, Rick Schrama as papers chair, Jim Sidow as Specialty Training Conference chair and Walt Kusnier as Lube Manual chair. They finished by reviewing and approving their mission statement for the committee.
